You look up what an SEO agency costs in Spain and you always find the same thing: “it depends”, followed by a range from 99€ to 5,000€ that’s no use for budgeting anything. It does depend. But it can be explained with numbers.

Here are the real prices of SEO in Spain in 2026, by project type, what each format includes, and what makes a monthly fee 800€ or 4,000€. With our own starting figures, which are the ones we know first-hand.

The starting prices

SEO is bought in several formats, and each has its entry point.

An SEO audit starts at 2,500€. It’s a one-off diagnosis: technical health, content, authority and visibility in AI search, ending with a prioritised action plan. It isn’t ongoing work. It tells you where you stand, or lets your in-house team execute the fixes.

Local SEO for a single location starts at 800€/month. A service scoped to one business with a physical address: Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and geolocated content. Built for businesses that depend on being found nearby.

Monthly SEO execution starts at 1,500€/month. Here you don’t just diagnose: the project is worked every month, continuously, with a team behind it. It’s the format for sustained organic growth.

ServiceStarting priceWhat it is
SEO auditFrom 2,500€ (one-off)Technical, content, authority and AI-visibility diagnosis, with a prioritised action plan.
Local SEO (1 location)From 800€/monthGoogle Business Profile, reviews, citations and geolocated content.
Monthly SEO executionFrom 1,500€/monthContinuous work on the project with a team behind it, for organic growth.

These are starting points. From there, the price moves with your project, and above all with what kind of client you are.

What SEO costs in Spain by project

Starting figures are one thing, what each company ends up paying is another. These are the market ranges in Spain in 2026, so you can place your own case:

These are market ranges, not a fixed rate card. They’re for placing yourself, not for signing. The real figure for your project comes from looking at it.

What moves the price up or down

Four things, and this is what almost nobody explains:

Your type and size of business. A single-location local business isn’t a national ecommerce or a company across several markets. The starting point changes with what you bring.

The volume of the site. Optimising 50 pages isn’t optimising 50,000. More URLs means more technical work, more content to review and a harder architecture to order.

The competitiveness of the sector. Fighting in banking, insurance, travel or consumer goods demands far more content and authority than a quiet niche. The competition sets the effort.

The technical complexity. A clean site on WordPress starts with an advantage. A custom build with indexing problems or accumulated technical debt eats specialist hours before anything begins to rank.

That’s why an agency that gives you a closed price without seeing your site is selling you a package. The serious number comes after looking at the project.

What monthly execution includes

“Execution” is a word every agency fills in its own way. So you’re not comparing fees that aren’t the same thing, this is what serious execution should include, worked each month according to the project’s phase:

  • Technical SEO. Crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, architecture. The base without which content doesn’t rank.
  • Content. Producing and optimising pages to rank and build topical authority. Not filler.
  • Link building. Links from relevant media and sites, earned, not link farms.
  • Analytics. Reading the data and making decisions from it, not an automated report nobody looks at.
  • A single point of contact who knows your business and leads the strategy, rather than a salesperson who vanishes after signing.

If a monthly fee doesn’t include most of this, it isn’t full execution. It might be enough for your case, but you should know before comparing prices.

The two extremes to be wary of

Very low prices. “SEO from 99€ a month” doesn’t pay for a team analysing your project. It pays for a tool firing off automated reports, or poor-quality links that can get you penalised down the line. It works out expensive.

Closed prices up front. The opposite extreme. An exact quote without having seen your site is a standard package dressed up as strategy. The real price comes from knowing the project.

Why one charges 100€ and another 3,000€

It’s the question everyone asks, and the answer isn’t “one’s cheap and one’s expensive”.

At 100€ a month there’s no room for anyone to think about your business. There’s room to execute loose tasks: a handful of texts, a few links, an automated report. Nobody sits down to look at where your revenue comes from, what your margins are, which keywords bring customers and which only bring visits.

At 3,000€ you’re paying for something else. You’re paying for a business strategy: someone who understands how you make money and orders the SEO around that. The tasks look similar on paper (content, links, technical), but they’re decided from strategy, not from a generic list. That’s the real difference, and it doesn’t show in the fee. It shows in the results at six months.

SEO and GEO: it shouldn’t be billed separately

A 2026 shift that affects what you pay.

More and more purchases start in ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini. People ask a model which supplier to choose and pick from what it recommends. If your brand isn’t cited there, you’re out of that decision even if you’re first on Google.

Appearing there is what’s called GEO. It works the same authority and quality signals as SEO, so it’s part of the same job, not an extra line on the invoice. At SEOCOM it’s built into monthly execution at no added cost. If someone charges you for it as a pricey separate service, ask what exactly they’re doing. We explain the diagnosis side in how to check if your business shows up in ChatGPT.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an SEO agency cost in Spain?

It depends on the format and the project. An audit starts at 2,500€, local SEO for a single location from 800€/month, and full monthly execution from 1,500€/month. From there the price rises with the type of client, the volume of the site, the sector and the technical complexity.

Why does one agency charge 100€ a month and another 3,000€?

Because they’re not doing the same thing. At 100€ you get loose tasks, done automatically. At 3,000€ you’re paying for a business strategy: a team that understands how you make money and orders the SEO around it. The tasks look similar on paper, but they’re decided from strategy.

What does monthly execution include?

Technical SEO, content, link building and analytics, worked each month according to the project’s phase, with a single point of contact who knows your business. If a fee doesn’t include most of that, it isn’t full execution.

Does it cost more to hire an SEO agency in a big city?

The work runs the same remotely, so location doesn’t make it more expensive in itself. What happens in cities like Madrid or Barcelona is that they concentrate highly competitive sectors (banking, insurance, energy, consumer goods) where competing takes more work, and that pushes those projects’ budgets up. For a local business or an SME outside those niches, the price is like anywhere else.

Does the price include showing up in ChatGPT and other AI (GEO)?

It should. GEO works the same signals as SEO, so it’s part of the same job. At SEOCOM it’s included in monthly execution at no extra cost.
